Using the Library

Getting a Library Card

It only takes 5 minutes to get a library card.  Please bring a Tennessee drivers license or ID, and proof of address (business mail but not junk mail, Voter registration card, car title, etc.).  Both addresses must be correct and match.  If the address on your drivers license is incorrect, you may be able to change it online for free at https://www.tn.gov/

Children under 18 must be signed up by a parent or guardian.

Directions

From Caryville:  We are located at 4839 Old Hwy 63 in Caryville, TN in the Municipal Building with the Police and Fire Departments.  We are not located on Main Street.   From Jacksboro:  Go through the red light at Caryville.  You will not turn anywhere until you are ready to turn into our building.  Go across overpass, and go past Shoney’s, which will be on your left (Do not turn here.  We are not located on Main Street.)    A blue Library sign points the way, straight ahead.  Continue driving about a ¼ mile and you will see a second blue sign pointing into the Municipal Building, where we are located with the Police and Fire Depts.  From KnoxvilleTake I-75 North from Knoxville (follow the ‘Lexington’ signs).  We are about 30 miles north of Knoxville, Exit 134.  The exit divides, bear left. Turn left and go across the overpass.  Continue going straight until you reach our Library. You will pass Shoney’s on your left (do not turn here).  Continue driving about a ¼ mile and you will see a second blue sign pointing into the Municipal Building.  We are located in this building with the Police and Fire Departments.

Materials Available

Caryville Public Library provides materials in a variety of formats.  We have both fiction and non-fiction books, audio books, and DVD’s.  Collection development focuses on best selling items, professional review, and public demand.  We also circulate e-books and audio books through READS.
